Multiple Grammy winner Ed Sheeran and Selena Gomez are reportedly playing sweet music together, but it's not what fans think. Meanwhile, the "Come & Get It" singer allegedly avoided ex Justin Bieber at a recent party.

A report from Hollywood Life claimed that Ed Sheeran and Selena Gomez have been spending a lot of time with each other.

The source said, "Ed and Selena have been hanging out a lot together, but there's nothing going on there. They just want to get to know each other better because they're considering working with one another."

The article added, "Ed would love to write for Selena. He thinks she's super-talented, has a great voice and the right appeal to front one of his songs.

However, the song that Ed Sheeran had in mind had nothing to do with Justin Bieber and how Selena Gomez feels about her ex.

"He feels she should concentrate on something else," the insider added.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez managed to avoid Justin Bieber during an event at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood on Thursday to celebrate Tori Kelly's album launch. Instead, the former Disney star didn't leave Ed Sheeran's side.

The source explained to Us Weekly, "Selena came with Ed. Bieber came with Scooter. Justin and Selena each noticed that the other person was there," the source adds. "But they didn't go over and say hello."
