Ariana Grande And Big Sean Update: Rapper Doesn’t Regret Romance With ‘Love Me Harder’ Songstress; Considers It A ‘Lesson’

Following Ariana Grande and Big Sean's split last April, the 27-year-old rapper finally broke his silence. The couple dated for eight months and while others consider the romance to be a failure, he hinted that it wasn't a mistake.

"Man, you know, I don't plan relationships. They just happen," Big Sean told ETOnline. "That's all it is. I'm just... I'm just living it. It's no, it's no God, it's no script. You know, we just out here doing what we doin'. Feelin' it out."

"It's no mistakes in life, though only lessons," he emphasized.

An insider previously reported that Ariana Grande and Big Sean could have remained together if the 22-year-old pop star "made an effort."

"Sean was expecting Ariana to put up a huge fuss and beg him to stay, but she did the opposite. He most likely would have stayed with her if she made an effort," said a source to Hollywood Life.

The rapper allegedly felt "emotional" because "he feels like he failed with another high profile relationship." Prior to Big Sean dating Ariana Grande, the "Paradise" singer was previously engaged to "Glee" actress Naya Rivera.

Meanwhile, the Nickelodeon actress has slammed rumors linking her to One Direction's Niall Horan. Dating rumors emerged when Ariana Grande was photographed leaving the British crooner's house after a party.

"A girl can be friends with someone with a d**k and not hop on it," she told the Daily Mail. "I'm tired of needing to be linked to a guy, I'm not Big Sean's ex, I'm not Niall's new possible girl. I'm Ariana Grande."

In an interview with The Sun, the former "Sam & Cat" star believes that headlines shouldn't focus on her love life.

"I'm currently making the best music I've ever made in my life, having the best time of my life on tour with some of the greatest people I've ever known, working my ass off every single day."
