Agent DiNozzo Gets More Responsibility in 'NCIS' Season 13? Spoilers Deeply Guarded This Time?

"NCIS" season 13 has already started filming, as Michael Weatherly has revealed in a Twitter post. Meanwhile, spoilers are reportedly going to be rarer this time as producers and cast are going to be more guarded.

In a Twitter post, Michael Weatherly posted a selfie of what appeared to be a set of Chinatown behind him. He wrote, "Lucky 13! Ncis back in action..."

Pauley Perrette also tweeted, "It's ON! First scenes for #NCIS #S13 shot today ( @mostx1 is our writer Scott, who we love!)."

The actress also has some choice words for the critics: "To haters: You're blocked anyway but the love we all share for life, support, humanity and #NCIS Sorry you chose your path. We're so happy."

Cartermatt speculated that spoilers would be quite difficult for "NCIS" season 13 based on what happened in the finale.

"Given the way that season 12 ended with the massive cliffhanger around Gibbs' life, we don't imagine that show is going to be keen on releasing much information this time around," it said.

"This is often handled on a season-by-season basis, depending on whatever secrets the cast and crew have to keep. With a guy like Gibbs, almost the entire series revolves around whether or not he is a part of the team. Here's hoping he pulls through."

Showrunner Gary Glasberg told The Hollywood Reporter that there are a lot of questions that need answered when the show returns, including an "impending danger."

Glasberg also said the shooting will galvanize the rest of the team, particularly DiNozzo.

"Regardless of the outcome, any time that Gibbs or one of our family members is in danger or injured, it significantly affects everyone," he said. "We'll have to see the long-term effects and the psychological effects, but they'll undoubtedly, as they always are, be there for each other."

"Then we'll see where it takes [us] as we move forward to the coming episode."
