Maddie Ziegler, Abby Lee Miller's 'Dance Moms' Journey Revisited; Young Star Remains Humble

Maddie Ziegler, touted to be Abby Lee Miller's favorite in "Dance Moms," will get her own special episode that will trace back her journey from being one of the talented girls on the reality show to being on the brink of stardom.

Previously, Abby Lee Miller praised "Dance Moms" stalwart Maddie Ziegler on her Instagram as she wrote, "This angel face has taught so many children in world to love what you are doing, to work hard at your craft, and to persevere! I'm very proud of you! #ALDC #aldcla #aldcalways #dancemoms."

The Lifetime synopsis for the Maddie Ziegler-centric episode read, "We will look back at Maddie and Melissa's 'Dance Moms' journey from Maddie's earliest days as Abby's star pupil to her life now as the most famous 12-year-old dancer in the world."

Maddie Zielger burst into the mainstream collective with her haunting turn on Sia's music video "Chandelier." The 12-year-old-who made no secret about her desire to become a movie star-also scored a gig for "Pretty Little Liars."

It was earlier rumored that Maddie Ziegler is planning to quit "Dance Moms" because she wanted to venture into serious acting.

In an interview with MTV, Maddie Ziegler said that they just finished with season 5 of "Dance Moms."

" I'm not sure what's going to happen for season six. I don't know if I'm going to do it or not, so it just depends," she said.

Bustle, meanwhile, said that Maddie Ziegler remains humble despite her success.

"As she watched herself age four years on Dance Moms, Maddie discussed how it was difficult always being Abby Lee Miller's favorite dancer and how Abby often treated her like an adult when she shouldn't have," the article said.

"The fact that Maddie is aware that she's not an adult and shouldn't be treated as such shows how mature Maddie is for her age."
