Katy Perry, John Mayer Split For Nth Time; Reunion Not Impossible?

Katy Perry and John Mayer have reportedly split for the fourth time, but reunion hasn't been ruled out yet.

The New York Daily News reported that the reps of the couple have not yet confirmed the split, nor given the reason for the breakup.

"But prior ups and downs in the celebrated couple's high-profile rollercoaster life are well-documented," it said.

"The fan-favorite artists were first spotted in June 2012 canoodling at Soho House in Los Angeles. They reportedly broke up that August, only to get back together two weeks later."

E! News was no longer surprised by the latest news on John Mayer and Katy Perry's split and the website wouldn't be shocked however if the "Fireworks" singer and the "Your Body is a Wonderland" hitmaker will reunite once more.

"These two have been up and down (or "hot and cold," if you will) for years now, and E! News has exclusively learned from a source close to the couple that they've called it quits again," it said.

"The insider didn't offer any specifics as to the reasoning behind the two celebs' decision to break up, but notes that they're known to make-up time and time again (we know), so it's very possible these two will reunite in the near future."

The couple reportedly reunited over the New Year holidays but back in March, Katy Perry and John Mayer have allegedly split yet again.

A source explained to Radar Online the reason for the breakup then, "The reason they have split in the past is because Katy gets busy. John can't handle the lack on attention, and she can't handle the trust issues she has when she's so far away."

"So they've learned that it's better to just take a break when they can't be in the same place."

Apparently, "John can't handle the lack on attention, and she can't handle the trust issues she has when she's so far away."
