Miley Cyrus' 2015 MTV VMAs Appearance Controversial; Bringing Stella Maxwell As Date?

Miley Cyrus is already gearing for her 2015 MTV VMAs hosting stint on August.

According to a report on Hollywood Life, Cyrus plans to bring Victoria's Secret model and rumored girlfriend Stella Maxwell to the awards show to reportedly publicly show off their relationship.

"Miley's saying she's going to bring Stella as her date to the VMAs," a source said. "You can expect a lot of PDA from them. It's going to be hot."

"Miley knows people want controversy, so she'll give them some," the source added.

As reported before on MTV, Miley Cyrus created a major controversy during her performance with Robin Thicke for "Blurred Lines" back in 2013. Many were shocked when Cyrus made suggestive gestures and even twerked on Thicke during the performance.

With the awards show coming in a month, the Parents Television Council once again voiced out their concerns against the singer. As told by Gossip Cop, officials of the organization were already expecting a racy kind of hosting from the "Wrecking Ball" singer.

"It's not going to be safe for children to watch," PTC President Tim Winter told Gossip Cop last week. "With Miley's shtick, it's probably going to be very edgy, very profane, very sexually explicit."

Cyrus though does not seem to mind the criticism against her and continue to post her excitement for the upcoming gig.

"F**kkkkkk yeahhhhh," she posted again on Instagram with a picture of her with a spaceman suit on.

Cyrus was also getting a lot of support from her followers and fans who continue to encourage her to ignore the haters. A source of Hollywood Life even insisted that Cyrus hosting the show won't all be about fun. It will purportedly be "serious" as well.

"There will also be a serious element to the show," the insider said to the same source above. "She's going to use it as a platform to get her message out. She was majorly inspired by Caitlyn [Jenner's] speech at the ESPYS. She plans to use her time on stage for a bigger purpose the way Cait did."

Miley Cyrus building awareness and calling for support for her cause has always been practiced by the singer. On last year's MTV Awards, she even had a homeless person receive her award on her behalf to raise awareness on the issue of the many homeless youth, as reported by Time.
