'Dance Moms' Star Maddie Ziegler Credits Abby Lee Miller For ALDC Stars' Competitiveness

Maddie Ziegler gave credit to "Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller, as well as her friendship with Chloe Lukasiak who left the show at the season 4 finale, for sparking her competitive drive.

In the "Dance Moms" special dedicated to the 12-year-old, she said that her constant competitions with Chloe Lukasiak has made her into the dancer that she is today.

She said, "That's kind of what started to get me kind of nervous and more competitive. I definitely am always supportive of my friends and if they win, that's fine, I'm happy for them. But I always want to do my best and I always want to win."

Maddie Ziegler continued, "I think that everyone was so obsessed with the Maddie vs. Chloe thing is because Abby... showed most of her attention to us two and I feel like that's what happened."

Meanwhile, Chloe Lukasiak has moved on from "Dance Moms" to greater things.

Reality TV noted, "Leaving the Abby Lee Dance Company was clearly the right choice for Chloe Lukasiak, for, now that she no longer faces the wrath of Abby Lee Miller, the former Dance Moms star is truly thriving!"

"Her long list of post-ALDC accomplishments includes a Teen Choice nomination, and, although she's forced to once again duke it out with Maddie Ziegler, the talented young dancer is thrilled about this exciting development," it said.

Chloe Lukasiak is also campaigning on social media so fans would vote for her for the Choice Dancer. The other nominees are: Stephen "tWitch" Boss, Allison Holker, Derek Hough, Les Twins and fellow "Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler.

Maddie Ziegler's mother, Melissa, said that there's really no rivalry between the kids in "Dance Moms."

"I love the fact when they say the fact there's rivalry. I think the world just likes controversy... It was a mom thing. It wasn't the kids, but the moms influence [on] the kids," she said during the special.
