Alec Baldwin To Have Daughter With Wife Hilaria Thomas Baldwin: 'We Definitely Want Her To Speak Spanish' She Says

Alec Baldwin found out Wednesday that he is having a daughter with 28-year-old wife Hilaria Thomas Baldwin.

What Baldwin might not know is that his wife feels that having a daughter is one buena oportunidad.

"We're having a girl and we definitely want her to speak Spanish," Hilaria, who spent a portion of her childhood growing up in Spain, told US Weekly on Thursday. "I was on the phone with my nephew, who's seven. He called...and he asked me, 'Is she going to speak Spanish?' and I said, 'Yes, but you have to help because she's going to grow up here probably so you have to help speak to her in Spanish.'"

It looks like Baldwin's future daughter and her mom are going to have a secret communication mode that excludes dad.

"It's a little tricky because my husband doesn't speak Spanish, so that'll be a little tricky in the house," she said. "But maybe we will have our own conversation and he'll have to learn. We can talk behind his back. I cannot wait!"

This will be Alec Baldwin's second daughter. His first child with ex-wife Kim Bassinger is 17 years old.

Hilaria says she couldn't be happier about having a daughter with the "30 Rock" star.

"I turned to Alec yesterday when the ultrasound was done and was like, 'I get to buy pink things now!'" she said. "We have two girl dogs and me and now we have the baby girl, so he's just going to be surrounded by girls. And he has his daughter Ireland as well."

Baldwin's wife says the ultrasound makes it looks as though Alec's daughter is genetically prone to be a stunner like her mom.

"She's got a very cute little nose, she's got very long legs," Hilaria said. "She gets the long legs from Alec's side. We're so excited!"

Alec and Hilaria recalled to Extra the moment when Mrs. Baldwin realized she was pregnant.

"There's a scream I heard, which is a scream normally reserved if there's a spider in the house, not exaggerating," Baldwin said. "Normally, I will be reading a book. We're in the country, it's quiet, some time to really relax and unwind and sometimes, once a month, you hear 'Ahhh, Alec, Alec!' I come upstairs, and there's a spider on the wall. So then I hear that scream again, but it was not a spider."

Hilaria continued, "It was followed by 'I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant!' He runs up the stairs and I'm holding it [the test] and showing it to him."

"We can joke all about it, but it's honestly the most amazing moment," Alec said. "We are really sharing something special."
