WWE Pays Homage To Paul Bearer And Rival Company Does The Same: See The Paul Bearer Tribute Video Everyone Is Talking About [VIDEO]

The WWE paid homage to the passing of Paul Bearer Monday night with a tribute video that aired during Monday Night Raw.

But WWE wasn't the only company to pay tribute to the former manager.

The tribute looked back at the career of one of WWE's most recognizable managers, with WWE superstars chiming in about the man who died on March 5, due to issues with his gallbladder. The chairman of the WWE, Vince McMahon spoke about what Paul Bearer meant to the company.

"Paul Bearer was the most unique manager we ever had because he managed the most unique individual (Undertaker) in the business," McMahon said during the tribute.

William Moody, also known as Paul Bearer came into the WWE to manage the Undertaker in early 1991. He had a career in which he managed the Undertaker, his "half-brother" Kane, Vader and Mankind at different points.

If a fan that grew up on wrestling since 1990, they might hear the Undertaker's name and then say, "Do you remember Paul Bearer?" He used to say have his catchphrase of "Oooooh Yeahhhh" in a high-pitched voice that current WWE superstars mocked in the tribute video.

Since 2004, Moody was dealing with side effects from a gastric bypass surgery, according to Percypringle.com. Ultimately, it may have led to his death.

His mark on wrestling was recognized during another nationally televised promotion, TNA Wrestling and its Thursday program, Impact Wrestling. Death seems to bring people closer together and the wrestling world was no different with the loss of one its own last Tuesday.

Bruce Prichard is the senior vice president of programming and talent relations for the company. Along with a TNA road agent, Al Snow and Prichard paid their respects to Moody. Prichard even said, "I love you," while the crowd cheered in honor of the memory of Paul Bearer.

Snow worked as a wrestler with the WWE while Bearer was employed. Snow said, "He was one of the nicest men I ever known."

Prichard is the man who introduced Bearer as the Undertaker's manager. The character, "Brother Love" was played by Prichard and the original manager of the Undertaker. It was until early 1991 that Prichard found a new manager to lead the way for the dead man.

Often in the wrestling industry, rival companies don't try to give the other promotion free publicity. The character Paul Bearer worked for WWE, but employees of TNA were willing to honor Moody's memory with a personal note on the company's television program.
