Pippa Middleton Wants 'Dancing With The Stars' Gig To Steal Kate Middleton's Fame?

Pippa Middleton reportedly wanted to join "Dancing with the Stars" to break out of the shadow of her more famous sister, Kate Middleton.

According to Star magazine, a body guard of the royals has revealed Pippa Middleton's plans to join the dancing reality show in order to steal the limelight from the Duchess of Cambridge.

"She wants her sister's fame, that's for sure. I heard she's desperate to be on Dancing with the Stars but the palace asked her to back off. They felt it would sully the image of her sister," the bodyguard alleged.

"Well, I tell you she did not care! She supposedly contacted Derek Hough somehow and he's a big fan of the idea."

But Pippa Middleton was offered something better instead, and was seen as the on-air correspondent for "The Today Show."

Celebrity Dirty Laundry said that Pippa Middleton joining "Dancing with the Stars" would have put her sister in an awkward position.

"As much as we would love to see Pippa Middleton on DWTS, we have a sneaking suspicion that Queen Elizabeth would make sure it never happened - regardless of what lengths she would have to go through to ensure it," it said.

Prior to reports about Pippla Middleton and her supposed "Dancing with the Stars" gig, various rumors have claimed that Nico Jackson's girlfriend is jealous of Kate Middleton for having married into royalty and wants attention of her own.

The Observer noted that Pippa Middleton and Kate Middleton seemed to have been getting more estranged when she became the Duchess of Cambridge.

"Rumor has it that she and Prince William are not fans of Pippa Middleton's increasingly high profile, bolstered by her Vanity Fair columns, her interest in appearing on the Today Show and, of course, that truly bizarre handgun incident," the article said.

"Gone are the days, unfortunately, when Pippa and Kate bounced from club to club with the paps in tow, trying to make Wills jealous."
