"I have never fallen so deeply in love with a character," Bell said. "We all became so close, and the cancellation of the show left a huge hole in my heart. I would have put on 'Veronica Mars: The Circus' to bring it back."

"Veronica Mars" is a television show about a private investigator, played by Bell, who finishes high school and heads to college under the guidance of her detective father.

The show premiered on television network UPN in 2004, where it ran for two season's before the third and final season aired on UPN's newly rebranded network the CW.

The creator of "Veronica Mars," Rob Thomas and Bell created a blog on Kickstarter.com to reach out to fans finance the film version of the show.

Their kickstarter.com goal is to raise $2 million in 30 days. If they reach it, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution has agreed to put the movie into production and pick up the tab for marketing, promotion, and distribution.

If they don't reach the goal of $2 million, then there reportedly will be no movie.

"I am currently the happiest blonde in a hamster ball the world has ever seen,"  Bell said on the Kickstarter blog.  "We have been waiting so long to make this movie dream a movie reality, and it's because of YOUR commitment, YOUR persistence, that we finally have a chance."
