Utah Couple Eats Razor Blade Filled-Donuts On Purpose! Sliced Scammers Arrested for Assault and Filing a False Police Report [PHOTO]

A Utah couple was arrested Monday night for planting shards of razor blades in donuts in an attempt to file a lawsuit against a grocery store, according to CBS news.

Carol Lee Leazer-Hardman, 39, and Michael Condor, 35, allegedly hid the razor blades in the donuts from Smith's Food and Drug store in Draper, UT, detailed The Daily News.

The pair of scammers proceeded to eat the donuts which contained fingernail- to thumbnail-sized pieces of metal inside.

"A Dollar Store co-worker, who was unaware of their scam, was also handed a doughnut and suffered cuts to her mouth," the report continued. "Cops said they were initially contacted by the couple who complained they had eaten 'tainted food' laced with the blades."

According to a Probable Cause Statement issued by the Salt Lake County jail, Leazer-Hardman and Condor were taken to the hospital where X-ray images showed metal shards in their stomachs.

Investigators became suspicious on account of the doughnuts' tamper-proof packaging.

"During the course of the investigation we were able to determine that they intentionally inserted these broken razor blades into doughnuts that they had purchased at Smith's and then swallowed the razor blades with the doughnuts," police said, according to Yahoo News.

The pair were booked into Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault and filing a false police report.
