Amanda Bynes In Trouble? Former Nickelodeon Star’s Twitter Photo Sparks Concerns

Amanda Bynes appears to be in big trouble. The former Nickelodeon star made a multitude of celebrity journalists and bloggers gasp after uploading an image of herself on Twitter. Amanda Bynes' newest look is a far cry from her former, sweetheart image.

According to Kevin Fallon of The Daily Beast, there are a number of reasons to be concerned about the former TV personality. Amanda Bynes has racked up so many traffic violations and accidents over the past few years. There’s also a story about her disoriented, jaunting through a tanning salon in her birthday suit. And there have been reports that she was booted from her New York City apartment.

The biggest news, however, that sparked concerns (or curiosity) about Amanda Bynes making a downward spiral is a photo she posted on Twitter. As Fallon notes, if the image she posted is described as a “makeover”, then make over is defined as a terrifying amalgamation of Snooki, Lil’ Kim and Grimace from McDonald’s.

Bynes looks extremely different. Her false eyelashes are large and heavy. It seems that she had lip injections from Lisa Rinna’s plastic surgeon. The wig looks very artificial as if plucked out from a toy doll. Her fingernails on the image could be described as daggers. And her piercing on the cheeks effectively removes all the girl-next-door perception she has built over the years.

The popular entertainment gossip website, TMZ, reported last month that she was threatened with eviction from her New York City apartment because she was smoking so much marijuana – “morning, noon and night” and even in the hallways. Her neighbors felt that having her removed from the building is the only recourse specially because the building is nonsmoking.

Many celebrity journalists assess the situation as a usual pattern for teen sensations, losing control of themselves and on the path to self-destruction. Bynes has a DUI on her records, multiple hit-and-runs, car impounded at one point, and was photographed driving and smoking weed. In an interview, she was asked about her current state, replying "I'm doing amazing."

The former actress has numerous hits with Disney and Nickelodeon and was once considered to be the Next Great Comedic Actress. She announced on Twitter her decision to leave the entertainment business in 2010, retiring from acting at the age of 24.
