Boys Save Infant CPR: Two Kids Show Mother How to Perform CPR, Save 12-Week-Old Baby [VIDEO]

A Georgia mother shares how two neighborhood boys, ages 9 and 10, helped save her infant son. The boys showed her how to perform CPR when the 12-week-old baby suddenly stopped breathing.

Susanna Rohm living Marietta shared her frightening incident that occurred last Monday when her son, Isiah stopped responding and went limp.

"I was sitting in the living room with the baby and I noticed that he was off that day. He seemed kind of non-responsive to my smile. Something didn't feel right. At that point I put my finger under his nose and realized he was not breathing," Rohm told WXIA.

"We were outside playing football and somebody yelled call 911," said Rocky Hurt, 9 years old, and Ethan Wilson, 10 years old.

"We found that the baby was not breathing. She was splashing water on his face and Rocky and I thought she was doing CPR," Wilson added.

The boys stopped her.

"I told her to push on the baby's chest five to 10 times with only two fingers, tilt back the baby's head, plug the baby's nose and breathe into the baby's mouth," Rocky told WXIA.

"He said it so confidently that I just listened to him right away," Rohm said.

Within seconds, the baby began screaming. "I told her that's a good sign because the baby's breathing," Rocky said.

Rohm said she never met the boys before, who live near her in Marietta, outside of Atlanta.

Soon afterwards the paramedics arrived and the baby was taken to the hospital where he spent two nights. He was diagnosed with sleep apnea and is being watched by doctors.

The boys say the learned CPR from posted signs at their school cafeteria, Sedalia Park Elementary in the Atlanta suburb of Marietta.

"We just wanted to know just in case it happened," Ethan said, "but we never knew that we'd have to do that."
