Jessie J Shaves Her Head To Support UK Charity Comic Relief On Red Nose Day, Shares Photo On Twitter [VIDEO]

Jessie J shaves her head in a video that went viral on Saturday morning, March 16.

Jessie J, the popular 'Price Tag' singer, shaved her head for charity. Jessie raised money to support Comic Relief by shaving her head.

Comic Relief is a major charity based out of the UK. Their mission is to help create a better, more just world without poverty. The money raised by Comic Relief has been used to aid over 70 countries.

The charity raises money through two major fundraising campaigns: Red Nose Day and Sports Relief.

Jessie J participated in Red Nose Day yesterday, on March 15.

Jessie J had been raising money for the charity since making the announcement last year that she would shave her head.

Before she cut her hair, Jessie J met with people who had been helped by Charity Relief, including men and women affected with HIV and victims of sex trafficking.

The 24-year-old singer said that shaving her head "is the smallest thing that I could do to give back to these people that need it so much."

English comedian Lenny Henry cut the first lock of Jessie J's hair, joking that he was "putting this on eBay".

After the cut, Jessie J revealed her new look on live television. She told the hosts, "It's so weird! It's the weirdest feeling. It feels so liberating but, this isn't really about [my hair], it's about donating."

Jessie J then went on Instagram to share the first photo of her shaved head with her followers.

In the photo, Jessie J's head is completely shaved, and she dons her signature gold hoop earrings.

Jessie J captioned the photo, "I did it! Thank you to everyone who is donating!"

Jessie J raised over £500,000 by shaving her head for the charity.
