Miracle Chicken Egg Laid In China – An Egg Within An Egg [VIDEO]

A hen in southwest China has been laying some rather strange eggs...

'Miracle chicken eggs' have been produced by a hen in the southeastern Chinese village of Bijie, in the Guizhou, province over the past couple of weeks.

The eggs are nearly three times the size of a normal chicken egg and reportedly way about half a pound each.

When the first egg was cracked open by a villager, it was not surprising to onlookers that it countained two yolks. What was shocking to see, however, what that another whole egg was inside the massive miracle egg.

Another yolk was found inside the egg inside the miracle egg - like the chicken version of Russian nesting dolls.

The chicken's owner, an 87-year-old woman named Yang said that when she first saw the hen struggling to lay the miracle egg, she thought it was dying. She also says that her chickens have never produced abnormal eggs before.

"I'm more than 80 now," explains Yang, "but I have never seen eggs like this before."

Since the chicken first miracle egg, the hen has produced five more just like it in the last two weeks.

Yang attributes the abnormally large eggs to the chicken's very special diet. According to her the special hen does not eat the same chicken feed (mostly made of corn) as the other chickens. Instead, the monster egg-laying bird is a picky eater and sustains on a diet of rice.

There have been no reports on how the egg tasted, and the chicken has not been tested to see what could be causing the enormous eggs. Aside from the miracle eggs, there is no sign that anything is wrong with the bird.

None of Yang's other chickens have been producing abnormal eggs.
