Mob Wives Star Rejected By Playboy

The magazine Playboy rejected Pia Rizza, one of the stars of the VH1 show 'Mob Wives Chicago' when she asked to pose nude.

Last year Rizza released nude photos she took of herself to the media. Someone else got their hands on the Mob Wives star's pictures first and tried to sell them. Rizza beat them to the punch and published the pics on her own.

TMZ reports the 40-year-old Mob Wives Chicago star was hoping the nude photos would get her a spread in Playboy. According to TMZ the magazine rejected her request to pose in the magazine.

Rizza went on Twitter to deny asking Playboy for the chance to pose. "I never sent in pics and I never really said for sure that I wanted to do it."

Mob Wives Chicago is a VH1 reality show following the lives of 5 women from Chicago and their alleged connection to "The Outfit," Chicago's version of the Mob.

The show is a spin off of the original VH1 reality show "Mob Wives." The original Mob Wives takes place in Staten Island New York and follows the lives of 4 women and their connection to the New York Mafia. Although by season three it is more like 7 women.

One of the women on 'Mob Wives,' Karen Gravano is the daughter of known gangster Sammy "The Bull" Gravano. Her cousin Ramona Rizzo is also featured on the show.

Rizzo is the granddaughter of mobster Benjamin Ruggiero A.K.A "Lefty 2 Guns." Al Pacino played Benjamin Ruggiero in the 1997 film "Donnie Brasco."
