Joss Stone Murder Plot Revealed In Exeter Crown Court

Junior Bradshaw and Kevin Liverpool were arrested in June 2011 for a plot to kidnap and behead UK pop singer Joss Stone.

The men were driving around the area of Stone's home in Devon but became lost and needed to get directions. They stopped and asked a mailman how to get to the singer's home.

Neighbors watching the two men drive around became suspicious and called the police. When the police found the two men, they uncovered their plot to murder Joss Stone.

After searching the car the police found a sword, hosepipe, a hammer, a gym bag containing a spike, black bags and tape. The police also found notes on the two men detailing their plot to decapitate Joss Stone.

Stone was home when the two men were arrested. She had no idea about the plot to kill her until the police showed up at her door.

The Daily Mail has reports of the singer's testimony in the trial of Junior Bradshaw and Kevin Liverpool.

She admitted to the jury that her community is relaxed on security. "I've lived in Devon for a long time and nobody really shuts their door," she said.

"I had an alarm but I did not really turn it on very much. I didn't really have a lock on my door... But I do now," she added.

The two men denied their plot and pleaded not guilty. The trial is still ongoing and should last three weeks.

Joss Stone released her first album in 2003. The Soul Sessions made it to the top 5 in the United Kingdom and the top 40 in the United States.

Stone also appeared on the Showtime TV series 'The Tudors" along side Jonathan Ryes Myers, as Henry VIII's fourth wife Anne of Cleves.

Recently Stone has been part of a project to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles First album Please, Please Me. Stone covered the track A Taste Of Honey."
