Kate Upton Accepts Prom Invitation From YouTube Admirer [VIDEO]

The viral video asking model Kate Upton to prom has gotten a response... she accepts!

After only a few days, and about 200,000 YouTube views, Kate Upton accepted a prom invitation from Jake Davidson, a Los Angeles high school senior who asked the model out in a creative web video.

On Tuesday the model responded to Davidson's video saying, "You can call me Katie if you want." Upton also added, "I'll check my schedule," leaving the possibility open and Jake's hopes up.

While he was being interviewed on the Today show Wednesday morning, Kate Upton called into the show to talk to the teen. At first Davidson was rendered speechless, but finally worked up the nerve to say, "It will be a great night. I could even get the curfew extended, hopefully."

The creative youngster received a positive response from his soon-to-be prom date. Kate replied, "If everything works out, I'd love to go with you. I know we'd have a blast."

The video is essentially a 2-minute conglomeration of scenes from everyday life for Davidson, as a way for Kate Upton to get a sense for who he really is.

On the Today show Wednesday morning Upton applauded Davidson's creativity saying she adored the video and thought it was really sweet. She also congratulated him on his viral popularity mentioning how amazing it was that he was appearing on the Today show.

Now supporters of Davidson's valiant effort to score a date to prom with a supermodel are just waiting to hear if Kate Upton's schedule will be clear on May 23 to actually accept the date, but it is looking promising!

As Davidson mentions in the video prom invitation: "Kate, great moments are born from great opportunity. And that is what you have here today. A chance to make a nice guy's senior year the best ever."

So Kate, will you officially accept?
