Killer's Mother Pleads For Son's Life, However Ohio Jury Recommends Death Penalty [VIDEO]

Despite the killer's mother who pleads for her son's life, Ohio jurors recommended the death penalty on Wednesday.

Richard Beasley was convicted of killing three men and wounding a fourth that responded to a Craigslist job posting in 2011.

"I love Richard with all my heart," testified the teary-eyed Carol Beasley during the sentencing phase of the trial. She testified that he had a troubled childhood and suffered physical and sexual abuse.

Regardless the jury took less than three hours reaching a decision of recommending the death penalty, the other options were life in prison without parole or life with chance for parole after 25 to 30 years.

Earlier this month Beasley, 35, was found guilty of kidnapping and murder of David Pauley, 51, Ralph Geiger, 56, and Timothy Kern, 47. Also attempted murder of Scott Davis, who escaped with a gunshot wound in the arm after meeting him and a teenage accomplice, Brogan Rafferty. He was guilty on all 26 counts, including multiple charges of aggravated murder.

Last year Rafferty, then 16-year-old, too young to face the death penalty was sentenced to life in prison without the change of parole.

Judge Lynne Callahan, making the final say of Beasley's fate, said Wednesday she will sentence him on March 26.

"The law in Ohio for the death penalty, it's reserved for the worst of the worst, and it's the state's position that Richard Beasley is the worst of the worst," prosecutor Jonathan Baumoel said.

Prosecutors stated Beasley was the mastermind and the one who pulled the trigger behind the murders.
