Arnold Palmer On Date With Kate Upton: See How The Legendary Golfer Jump Started The Model's Career

Legendary golfer Arnold Palmer reportedly will be having dinner with Kate Upton, whose career he helped jumpstart.

"Did you see this?" Palmer said, holding up the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue with Upton on the cover in an interview with the Associated Press. "She's coming here. Did you know that? I better cover this up."

Yahoo! reported Thursday that the two will meet for dinner while Upton is in town because her parents were fans of Palmer, and she's meeting with the legend to discuss his charity work and participate in some social media PR business around the Arnold Palmer drink.

Kate Upton is a model and actress. She appeared on three Sports Illustrated swimsuits magazines, with two covers.

Arnold Palmer is a hall of famed golfer who won seven PGA Majors, winning all four majors during a 12 year span. He also had 62 PGA Tour victories.

Palmer jumped start Upton's career because he used to play golf with the father of Upton's current manager, Lisa Benson. Palmer helped arrange an interview for Benson at IMG, the international sports/entertainment management firm, which she then got the job. Benson later aligned with Upton to help her jumpstart her modeling and acting career.

Upton appeared in the movie "Tower Heist" in 2011. She then appeared in "The Three Stoogies" the following year.
