Boy Killed By Dad's Plow: Community Mourns & Offers Full Support To Parents, 'Can't Imagine What He's Going Through'

The people in Greene, Maine expressed deep sympathy for Kevin Capponi, father of Nathan Capponi, 6-year-old boy, who accidentally killed his six-year-old son as he backed up large pickup truck Wednesday morning.

Fellow classmates at Greene Central School remembered their friend Thursday with cards and drawings to decorate a tree on the school's playground. Students also decorated his desk and the wall in his classroom in his honor.

"Nathan was a vivacious, vibrant boy who was always smiling," said Kim Spencer, Greene Central School Vice Principal in written statement. "He had a knack for putting smiles on the faces of students and teachers. He was a curious young boy, full of questions and comments."

A local resident Melissa Carmichael told the Press Herald, "I can't imagine what he's going through."

The father posted a message on Facebook after the tragic accident, "Please forgive me and my family. I love him with all my heart. It is now broken."

Facebook friends posted their sympathies sharing favorite verses from the Bible and expressed their love for Nathan, Kevin and entire family.

"It breaks my heart that his life was cut short and it breaks my heart to watch you hurt!!" Facebook friend Christine Roy Beaucage wrote on Kevin Capponi's wall.

A friend, Christopher Miller, replied: "There is no forgiveness needed Kevin. ... Your family is caring and wonderful to be with. We feel joy whenever your family enters the room. You both look into the best for each other and the kids. Forgiveness is not what you should ask for at this time."
