Jon Hamm Takes High Road In “Bulging Pants” Rumor

There has been a rumor flying around about Mad Men actor Jon Hamm. Confidenti@l an online gossip magazine was the first to report that Jon Hamm was asked by staff on the set of Mad Men to wear underpants while filming.

The rumors that he was not wearing underwear while filming his show Mad Men came to Confidenti@l from an anonymous source. The so-called insider reported that the 1960's era pants Hamm was wearing were very tight around the groin.

According to the source, who is yet unnamed Hamm likes to go commando on set and the tight pants leave little to the imagination. The rumor also said Hamm's "bulge" had to be photo shopped out of various posters for the upcoming season of Mad Men.

There has been no official statement from Hamm regarding the rumor. However the Daily News contacted a representative for Hamm.  The Rep said the rumor was "ridiculous and not really funny at all."

Season 6 of Mad Men premiered in Los Angeles Wednesday night. A reporter from OMG asked Hamm about the rumor. Jon Hamm played it cool and simply said he knew about the rumor "but I don't need to talk about that."

Besides his bulge rumor Jon Hamm recently made celebrity news headlines for calling Kim Kardashian "an idiot." Hamm told Elle UK, "Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being an idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly."

Kim K wasn't going to let that crack go and responded to Hamm's comments via Twitter.

"I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview. I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We're all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, "stupid," is in my opinion careless."

Jon Hamm and the rest of the Mad Men cast will return to AMC for seasons seven and eight.
