Pippa Middleton Dropped By Literary Agent After Poor Book Sales, 'Much Teased For My Book'

Pippa Middleton parted ways with her agent after disappointing sales of her first party-planning guide "Celebrate" A year of British Festivities for Families and Friends."

The book released last October soon faced harsh criticism for its simplistic advice and inspired a parody Twitter account @PippaTips mocking the 28-year-old.

Middleton's former agent reportedly was paid an estimated of £400,000 in advance by Michael Joseph, however it failed to live up to expectations. A it only sold 2,000 copies its first week and U.K bookseller WH Smith slashed its price in December from £25 to £6.25.

"I am very sorry it has happened, but yes, it is true: I no longer represent Pippa," her former agent David Godwin reportedly told Telegraph Thursday night. "I wish her every good luck."

Pippa admitted the book hadn't gone as planned, "I have been much teased for my book."

"Lots of journalists are saying that my advice is glaringly obvious. A spoof Twitter account called @pipptips offers such pearls as 'enjoy a glass of water by getting a clean glass and pouring in water from a tap or bottle'."

It doesn't seem like she is simply just giving up, she will pen a monthly column, Pippa's Friday Night Feasts for Waitrose Kitchen magazine starting in April.
