Charlize Theron Stars in 'Ladies Night' Comedy Directed By Fred Savage

Charlize Theron is to appear in a comedy "Ladies Night" directed by Fred Savage for David Ellison's Skydance Productions announced Ellison representatives Friday.

The film follow a woman (Theron) whose boyfriend's inability to commitment plans to uproot her life to New York, but not before enjoying one last night out on the town with her girlfriend's beforehand.

Theron had been developing the comedy under her Denver & Delilah production company with colleagues Beth Kono and AJ Dix, as well as Ellison and Dana Goldberg.

There has been no other casting announced, however popular TV director and former child star Savage signed to direct from David Caspe's script.

Savage the former actor moved from playing in "The Princess Bride" and "The Wonder Years" to direct over 120 TV episodes for shows such as "Modern Family," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," and "Boy Meets World." However this project with Skydance marks his second big screen production he will direct.

The 37-year-old actress is looking to change her role, as she is more-known for dramatics roles like "Monster" and "The Cider House Rules," and villainous roles in "Snow White and the Huntsman," "Prometheus" and "Young Adult" is aiming for comedy.

The filming is aiming to shoot early 2014, then most likely we will see it in theaters in the spring of 2015.
