‘The Wolverine’ Trailer: Hugh Jackman Claws Through Japan As Logan [VIDEO]

“The Wolverine” released its full teaser Wednesday features Hugh Jackman reprise his “X-Men” character in the latest addition to the X-Men franchise.

“The Wolverine” trailer begins by sending him off to Japan to meet a man he saved in World War II by shielding him from the atomic blast at Hiroshima, by a mysterious woman named Yukio (Rila Fukushima).

The man offers Wolverine that is difficult to pass, to make him mortal, which is something he thought to be impossible.

Also the trailer confirms Famke Janssen’s cameo role as we see her return, through flashback as Jean Grey from the “X-Men” series.

Jackman also tweeted his excitement to share the trailer with his fans.

“The Wolverine” is based on Chris Claremont and Frank Miller’s 1982 comics. It’s a follow up to 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” Jackman also appeared in three of “X-Men” series from 2000 to 2006 and a cameo in 2011’s “X-Men: First Class.” He is set to appear in the next X-film by director Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past” scheduled to release on July 18, 2014.
