Taylor Swift To Guest Star On ‘New Girl’ Season Finale With Zooey Deschanel...And A Badger

Taylor Swift will guest star on the season 2 finale of New Girl with Zooey Deschanel.

The New Girl episode in which Taylor Swift will guest-star will air on May 14, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The country pop superstar will play a character named Elaine, an "important guest" at Cece and Shivrang's wedding.

Cece, played by Hannah Simone, is the best friend of main character Jess, played by Zooey Deschanel.

Swift is an admitted fan of the New Girl, and her name has been written into the script a few times this season.

In one episode, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) sent Cece a text that said he was going through a "Taylor Swift-like range of emotions." In another episode, Nick Miller (Jake Johnson) tried to cheer up Jess with his sorry attempts at dancing while Jess moaned, "I just wanted to listen to Taylor Swift alone," while Swift's "22" played in the background.

This won't be Swift's first guest appearance acting on a TV drama. She guest-starred in an episode of CSI, and appeared in the film Valentine's Day.

Swift, according to EW, will shoot her parts in the New Girl episode next week.

The only other information we know about the episode is that it is titled "Downton Abbey Christmas Special (Part II)." If you think the title sounds weird, wait until you hear who else will star in the episode alongside Swift.

TV Line reported that a "living, breathing, out-of-control badger" will also be present in the episode.

The New Girl season finale looks like it'll be something to remember. Fans are certainly excited about the season finale. 'CC' posted on the EW site, "I love it. Can't wait. Kinda wish she was just playing herself tho,"
