UPDATE On NBA Star Chris Bosh's Home That Was Robbed Of $340,000

It might have been an inside job in the robbery of $340,000 worth of items from NBA star Chris Bosh's home Wednesday night.

Miami Beach PD told NBC that Bosh called the police around 12:30 AM after he and his wife returned home from a night celebrating his birthday at a nightclub in South Beach. When they got home, they noticed their house had been vandalized. They were out celebrating with teammates, which included LeBron James and Dwayne Wade.

"We think it was probably an inside job," Bosh's authorities told TMZ. "It's very difficult to prevent crimes such as this from happening."

It was publicized that the NBA champion and Bosh's wife's Twitter accounts that they were indeed out celebrating his birthday, leaving the possibility for a planned robbery.

"That's always a concern," Bosh said to reporters following a Miami Heat practice Thursday when asked about police speculation that it was an inside job. "It's just an unfortunate circumstance. There's not much I can say. It's all about action right now. We'll continue to act and take care of it."

The authorities also told NBC that the NBA champion noticed a jewelry drawer was open and several expensive items were missing, which included watches, rings and purses. The rings didn't include his NBA championship ring that the Miami Heat won last season.

"It's not a good feling but we have it set up a certain way so we can get down to the bottom of it," Bosh said. "We'll get there."

A Miami Beach police report said there was two babysitters, a teenager and the two children of Bosh and his wife. There were video surviallance at the home, but it was turned off because there were people inside the home.
