Jenna Bush, Daughter Of Former President George Bush, Has Baby Shower With 'Today Show' Co-Hosts

Jenna Bush Hager's baby shower took place on April 2nd at the swanky Peter Callahan Catering studio in New York City. The baby shower was more like a book shower, since all guests were advised to bring their favorite childrens' book and inscribe it with parenting advice. Jenna Bush Hager's guest list included her co-stars of the 'Today Show' and other female celebs.  Since the Hagers are waiting for birth to reveal the sex of the baby, books were deemed the most appropriate baby shower gift.

"Get a nap anytime you can," advised former co-anchor Meredith Viera in a copy of We're Going on a Bear Hunt, while Hoda Kotb said Bush Hager only had to do whatever her own mom did.

Goodnight Moon, the book, was also among Bush Hager's shower gifts from news anchor Natalie Morales, who said she made up a song to the bedtime story to keep it from getting boring as she read it "so many darn times" to her own two children.

The daughter of the former 43rd president is expecting her first child with Henry Hagers in the beginning of May. Henry did make an adorable surprise cameo to the soiree, and all of the women sighed "awww"

When 'Today' producer Jackie Levin gave the Hagers E.L. James' best-selling erotica, Fifty Shades of Gray, Jenna laughed and glanced over at her husband shouting, "That's baby number two material!"

Jenna, 31, and Henry, 34, the son of former Virginia Lt. Gov. John Hager , wed in Crawford, Tex., in 2008, during the final months of her dad's presidency.  The couple lived in Baltimore until 2010, when they moved to New York City. Jenna, who taught at charter schools in Maryland and D.C., appears to have left the classroom for a thriving media career.

The lavish shower served baby-sized vittle including caviar-topped cracker rings shaped like pacifiers and pizzas no bigger than checkers. She toasted her pals with one of Callahan's teensie Coca-Cola bottles, told them she felt "empowered" by their parenting wisdom and promised to be back in the studio after a summer maternity leave.
