Sir Paul McCartney Richest Musician In The U.K., Former Beatles’ Fortune At $1.05 Billion

Sir PaulMCartney is the richest musician in the U.K. with an estimated £680 million fortune or $1.05 billion. He is practically a billionaire musician in American dollar terms.

According to the Sunday Times Rich List, McCartney remains to be wealthiest musician in Britain. The newspaper reported that he is sharing the fortune with his third wife, Nancy Shevell, whose family owns a U.S. trucking company.

McCartney has topped the musicians list every year since the Times first begun compiling it in 1989.

Next on the list is famous composer Andrew Lloyd Weber, he is estimated to have a 620-million-pound fortune.

Amongst the younger musicians, Adele, topped the list. The newspaper has a parallel list for musicians under 30 years old. She is estimated to be worth 30 million pounds according to the Times.

The full ranking of musicians and their wealth will be published Sunday, according to the Associated Press. The overall Rich List- a widely respected measure that draws on public records of property, shares and other assets will be released to the public on April 21st.

Other notable British figures expected to appear on the Rich List is rock band U2, Sir Elton John, Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and the power couple David and Victoria Beckham.
