Watch Seattle Mariners Fan Catch Foul Ball With His Beer: A Web-Gem Of A Catch [VIDEO]

During a Seattle Mariners and Houston Astros game Wednesday, a fan did the unthinkable and caught a foul ball with a cup filled with beer, then drank the beer with the ball still in the cup.

A "web gem" usually takes place when an infielder makes an out that robs a hitter from a base-hit or an outfielder makes a catch that make you say "wow."

This time, it was a fan that made a "beer-gem." Faced with the tough decision of catching a homerun barehanded or having to spill his beer in the process; he decided to use the beer as his glove. He caught the homerun with the cup of beer, only losing a splash of the expensive beer. While fans celebrated the impressive catch around him, the Mariners fan decided to chug the beer while the baseball remained afloat in the cup, which altered even more cheers.

At least once a season, a fan will catch a homerun or a foul ball with a beer in hand, but rarely is a catch taking to this extreme. Some fans will even hold their baby and catch the ball. Of course you should never want to do that, but this beer-drinking fan may have spent $9 if it was a Coors Light, according to blog.SeattlePI.com .

Even though the fan ended up spilling a good portion of the beer on himself while he chugged the drink, he certainly got his moneys worth.
