Beaver Kills Man: Fisherman Trying To Take Picture Of Animal Was Bit On The Thigh, Artery Severed

A beaver kills a man in Belarus after he was trying to take a picture of the animal.

The fisherman, who was with his friends fishing, was bitten to death by the beaver, Sky News reported. He only approached the animal so he can take a picture. He spotted the beaver at Lake Shestakov, but as he approached to take a photograph, the animal bit him on the thigh.

The beaver severed the man’s artery and his friends couldn’t stop the blood flow.

The Sky News agency helpfully reminds us that beavers are able to bite through trees. Although beaver attacks are rare, they occur and rabid beavers are to blame. Last August, a Boy Scout troop in upstate New York had to stone a rabid beaver to death, after the animal tried to attack the troop’s leader, biting him six times. The scout leader was treated for multiple puncture wounds and has also been given more than 20 rabies shots.

Also just this week, the Telegraph posted a YouTube video of a beaver attacking a Russian man. It was also reported that two girls from Virginia were seriously injured after being mauled by a beaver.
