Coma Request Bob Seger: Evie Branan Wakes From 5-Year Coma, Asks To See Bob Seger

A 79-year-old woman in Michigan awoke from a five-year coma said "I want to go to a Bob Seger concert." Evie Branan said she wanted to go on May 7, 2011, according to CBS News. Those were the first words out of her mouth.

"Why would I say that?" Branan told MLive.com earlier this week. "Maybe my last thoughts were Bob Seger before I had my stroke."

"I don't know anything about what happened to me, only that I had a stroke and I didn't remember anything for five-and-a-half years," she added.

Now two years later, she is finally having her requested fulfilled on April 11, 2013 during "Rock And Roll Never Forgets" tour in Auburn Hills.

"(Her story) was definitely nothing I had heard before," said Ann Tenbrusch, of Punch Enterprises, which manages Seger. "I always want to try to help out with stories like that because Bob loves his fans. It's such a cool story I just wanted to help out in any way I could."

The concert trip was possible by staff at the Willowbrook Manor, where Branan resides. Administrator Michelle Cross arranged for a ticket and even got her a limo ride and post-concert dinner.

"I'm so excited I can hardly breathe," she said. "What am I looking forward to the most? Hugging Bob Seger and giving him a big smooch."
