Selena Gomez Shows What Justin Bieber’s Missing With Seductive MTV Movie Awards Performance, Criticized For Bindi, Indian Dance [VIDEO]

Selena Gomez showed her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber what he was missing through her performance of "Come And Get It" at the MTV Movie Awards 2013.

Gomez, tossing aside her innocent Disney-girl image, took the stage in a fiery red dress with a red jewel on her forehead and danced a 'Bollywood-esque' routine while singing the lyrics to her new single "Come and Get It."

Some think that Selena Gomez's raunchiest performance yet could be intended to get the attention of her former boyfriend Justin Bieber, who also made news yesterday. Bieber was called out by the media for making offensive comments when visiting the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. Bieber wrote, "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber," in historical site's visitor's book.

Bieber's note has sparked strong backlash on Twitter, just like his ex-girlfriend did with her Indian-inspired performance.

Although some of Gomez's fans enjoyed her sexy performance, others criticized the young performer for cultural appropriation.

Popdust tweeted, "We could go our entire lives without seeing another white girl in a bindi and that would be completely fine. #MTVMovieAwards." Popdust added, "Not digging the appropriation here, Selener. #MTVMovieAwards."

Twitter user Kinjal Patel wrote, "@selenagomez Hi, leave bindis for Indian women #culturalappropriation" and Rachel Something tweeted "I guess Selena Gomez couldn't convince any Indian women to participate in that mockery of a dance. Not surprised. #culturalappropriation"
