Jenna Bush, Daughter of Former President George W. Bush, Gives Birth To Baby Girl On Saturday Night

Jenna Bush Hagers, daughter of 43rd president, George Bush, gave birth to daughter Margaret Laura "Mila" Hager in New York City on Saturday night.

Bush Hager and her husband Henry Hager sweetly named their daughter after their mothers.

Bush Hager was on "Today" just last Thursday with a story on baby gender superstitions, and trying to determine if her baby would be a boy or a girl. A psychic, a "crystal healer" and clairvoyant all thought she would be having a boy. Al Roker correctly predicted a girl.

Mila is the first grandchild for George and Laura Bush.

"Laura and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our grandchild, Margaret Laura 'Mila' Hager."

"She was born last night, April 13, at 8:43pm in New York City. We met our beautiful granddaughter today. Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated," they continued in a statement.

Jenna Bush Hager's baby shower took place on April 2nd at the swanky Peter Callahan Catering studio in New York City. Jenna Bush Hager's guest list included her co-stars of the 'Today Show' and other female celebs.

The lavish shower served baby-sized vittles including caviar-topped cracker rings shaped like pacifiers and pizzas no bigger than checkers. She toasted her pals with one of Callahan's teensie Coca-Cola bottles, told them she felt "empowered" by their parenting wisdom and promised to be back in the studio after a summer maternity leave.

Jenna, 31, and Henry, 34, the son of former Virginia Lt. Gov. John Hager , wed in Crawford, Tex., in 2008, during the final months of her dad's presidency.  The couple lived in Baltimore until 2010, when they moved to New York City. Jenna, who taught at charter schools in Maryland and D.C., appears to have left the classroom for a thriving media career.

Jenna, an ex-school teacher, will surely make a fantastic mother and we wish her the best of luck.
