The Corrs To Release A New Album By Next Year; Group Announced Tour Dates For 2016

The Corrs are gearing up for a comeback and a new album from the sibling-formed group is expected to come anytime soon.

According to a report from Malton Mercury a few months back, Sharon Corr and the rest of the group announced their comeback and gave their fans updates on what they are currently doing.

In an interview, they also revealed how they managed to look back to what they have done and thought about creating a new album for The Corrs fans.

"We never sort of decided to stop or quit as a band," Sharon Corr said. "We've had eight children between us in the mean time so that kind of takes up 10 years so I think we were sort of entitled to it after sort of 15 years of being on the road."

"But music is part of the fabric of us. It is absolutely who we are. This is what we do, so it's not really a revelation from that point of view if you know what I mean. This is what we do so we're just doing it."

Furthermore, it is starting to look like that The Corrs have been working on their new album for quite some time now as some artists have already heard songs from the upcoming record.

In a recent report from Irish Times, U2 singer Bono revealed that he has heard a new track from the group recently, as he is in the process of paying tribute to Ellis Island.

He revealed in an interview that he was supposedly working on a song of the same name with Johnny Cash when he came across the song of the same title from The Corrs.

"The song was called Ellis Island, and I had forgotten that we started this song," Bono claimed.

"What was really bizarre about the coincidence was that day I had just heard a song called Ellis Island from The Corrs' new album. They just played it for me. It is a really, really special song."
