'Chaika The Coffin Princess' English Dub Voice Cast Roll Out Begins With Akari

Today, Sentai Filmworks began to roll out the voice cast for the official "Chaika the Coffin Princess" English dub voice cast. Set to play the voice of the master saboteur Akari, Joanne Bonasso was confirmed for the cast with a preview trailer. Fans can check out the trailer below.

The "Chaika the Coffin Princess" English dub will ship on DVD and Blu-ray starting Dec. 15.

So far, fans on Crunchyroll are expressing excitement for the preview of the "Chaika the Coffin Princess" English dub.

"I can't wait for Chaika to speak in English," said FLjerry.

Anime News Network reports that "Chaika the Coffin Princess" is directed by Soichi Masui with series composition by Touko Machida. The series is based off of a light novel originally created by Ichiro Sakaki and original character designs by Namaniku ATK. The character designs for the anime version were created by Nobuhiro Arai.

Additional staff for the series includes Seikou Nagaoka, who composed music for the series and Masahiro Suwa who was the chief animation director alongside Nobuhiro Arai. BONES studio handled animation production.

"Toru Acura is a 20-year-old retired soldier meandering through life post-war. He encounters Chaika Trabant, a 14-year-old sorceress carrying a coffin, and follows her in hopes of finding some semblance of meaning in his life again. The two are accompanied by Toru's adopted sister Akari, the sole employed member of the group and thereby their source of sustenance."
