VIDEO: Putin Blows His Top In A New Secretly Filmed Viral Vid; Is “Furious” About Leak

Vladimir Putin blows his top in a new video of a meeting with Russian cabinet members and other leaders on Wednesday. While Putin, the Russian Prime Minister, is generally unruffled-- if a bit firm—he lost his temper yesterday in a major way. He said the cabinet members were working badly and should leave.

The video wasn’t supposed to be leaked. He yelled at reporters, telling them to turn their cameras off, but one sneaky reporter kept filming as Putin’s temper began to boil over and he got more and more angry.

“How are we working? The quality of work is extremely low. If we’re going to work like that then we’ll achieve [nothing],” Putin growled in the video ( watch it at the bottom of this post). “If we don’t do this, we will have to admit that either I’m not working effectively, or you all are working badly and you all should leave. I want to draw your attention to the fact that today I am leaning towards the second option.”

Apparently, Putin may be even more upset about the video being leaked. In a statemtent, his press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said “What was published from the closed part of the meeting is outrageous and unacceptable from an ethical point of view. We plan in the near future to make contact with the leadership of the publication, to ask for an explanation.”

Russians are shocked to see this side of Putin because he is usually even-spoken, albeit sometimes perceived as a bit menacing or even creepy to Western viewers without the (perhaps stereotypical) stoic Russian temperament. Issues like his high-rolling lifestyle, habitual lateness, and womanizing are rarely touched in Russian media, much less his temper. Putin keeps his life under wraps to the extent that no one knows where his two grown-up daughters live and his wife is rarely seen in public.

Some suspect the Minister wanted the video leaked because it first appeared on a generally Kremlin-friendly tabloid. Still, the response from the secretary was harsh. No word yet on what happened to the journalist or what the consequences might be…but they’re certainly in the hotseat today.
