Psy 'Gentleman' #1 On M! Countdown

Psy lands the coveted number 1 spot on Mnet's M! Countdown

Music shows are known for being a showcase for sexy young idol groups to strut their stuff with comeback stages and new dance routines, but this week M! Countdown had a very different sort of K-Pop star in the number 1 spot.

The April 18 episode of Mnet's live music program, M! Countdown featured comebacks from Gavy NJ and C-CLOWN in addition to the usual stages.

But at the end of the episode Davichi, K.Will, and Psy battled it out for this week's top spot. Ultimately it was Psy's "Gentleman" that was victorious, proving that there is more to music shows than chiseled physiques and short skirts.

The M! Countdown win is just another in a long line of successes for Psy and his latest single, "Gentleman." The song has been shooting to the top of music charts across the globe and the music video has been smashing records left and right as it continues to receive millions of YouTube views a day.
