Metallica Going All In For New Album; Members Promises Something Different

Metallica confirmed that they are now in full focus for the release and recording of their new album as the release of the disc may potentially come anytime in 2016.

According to a report from Loud Wire, Metallica front man James Hetfield confirmed that the band is currently in the studio laying down tracks for their new album.

"I tell ya, we're recording right now, and there's the number one guitar, there's the number two guitar, there's the number three," Hetfield said.

In addition to that, he also confirmed how different the sound would be and would definitely be a surprise for their fans.

"And here's the third-track guitars that just sound different," he added. "They all sound different."

Meanwhile, guitarist Kirk Hammett recently revealed in an interview the huge amount of riffs and different surprises they have in store in the new Metallica album.

In an interview with Billboard, the 52-year-old six string expert revealed their progress.

"We have well over a dozen songs and we still have well over two or three hundred riffs, too, so it's hard to say at what point we actually are in in the project," Hammett said. "I don't think we hit the middle point yet. I would say we're at the 25 percent point, maybe 30 percent point."

In addition to that, the singer of the group also added how thrilled they are to still be partners with ESP guitars and EMG pickups while they finish the new Metallica album.

"Unbelievable to be sitting here thinking I designed a guitar, well, I'm not gonna take all the credit obviously, but taking a classic shape, redesigning and thinking of the idea for developing a clean pickup that had dynamics, that had power and having it sit here in a guitar and me recording an album after 35 years with it - awesome," he said in an interview that was reported by Loud Wire.
