Actress Nikki Blonsky Supports Friend Amanda Bynes, Says She's "Not Having a Breakdown, But A BreakThrough"...Troubled Bynes Getting Crazier [VIDEO]

Actress Nikki Blonsky is urging media outlets to leave her "Hairspray" co-star Amanda Bynes alone, insisting she's in regular contact with the former child star and "she's not going crazy."

The actress in denial of Amanda's troubles has spoken out to defend her pal, following a series of bizarre antics including a video of her getting ready for a night out with heavy tranny makeup, duck lips, and mumbling to herself. The disturbing video shows Amanda looking nothing like the adorable Nickelodeon star that we once knew and has convinced the public that Byne's is suffering form a mental disorder or is on an illegal substance. (See Video below)

Blonsky insists the actress is not heading for a breakdown, as has been suggested, stating, "She's the same Amanda I met working on 'Hairspray.' She's happy. I don't think that's a breakdown, but a breakthrough. I back Amanda 100 percent."

She continues, "She is just living her life and doing what she wants to do and I totally support that for her."

Blonski, who recently appeared on two episodes of NBC's Smash, said Bynes is only now raising eyebrows "because she has been so cookie-cutter and so perfect over the years."

Despite her gal pal's support, Amanda has already told us not to listen to anyone else but her in articles, tweeting on April 11 to her 668,000 followers:

'My friends don't speak on my behalf either. Please don't read anything about me needing help. That offends me.'

Well, Bynes was pretty offensive herself yesterday when she wrote nasty words about her ex via Twitter:

"You're d***-whipped by my ugly ex @ducidni whose looks and talent have always been questionable to me, him being the ugly duckling that he is and all.

"You quote him non-stop, then take professional shots of him for your covers. His best photos are s*** compared to my best.'"

Bynes has also been less than ladylike with her publicized crush on R&B star Drake after tweeting that she wanted the Canadian crooner to "murder her vagina."

Among the crazy events that have surprised everyone over the past 18 months are a string of traffic offenses in Los Angeles, pierced cheeks and carousing the NYC streets with clothing over her head.

At this time a real "friend" would not be enabling the ex-child star's behavior, but convincing her to seek help before it's too late.  Is Blonsky watching the same video that we are?
