NFL Star Chris Culliver Under Fire For Misogynistic Comments; San Francisco 49ers Player Faced Backlash For Homophobic Comments Last February

Chris Culliver is in hot water once again for making offensive remarks.

The San Francisco 49ers star ignited fury for making homophobic remarks shortly before this year's Super Bowl, but the NFL star is under fire again for misogny this time. Culliver posted a screen grab of a personal iPhone conversation to his Instagram account, where he and a friend referred to women as "hoes" and "bitches."

The transcript below is the extent of the conversation that was posted:

Culliver's friend: This bitch talkin bout how I can take her on a nice dat ... yeah my car ... bitch you got a whole dude ... live in work you trippin.

Culliver: Lol yeah hoes be thinking more then they are. Boy I tell you

Culliver's friend: Right these hoes be trippin

The NFL star has since pulled down the post, while the San Francisco 49ers released a statement saying they "are aware of the matter and it is being handled internally."

Last January, Culliver declared that openly gay players would not be welcome in the 49ers locker room. "No, we don't got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do. "Can't be with that sweet stuff. Nah ... can't be ... in the locker room man. Nah," he said. He also declared that any gay player on his team should keep their sexuality under wraps and continue to hide it for 10 years after their playing days.

Culliver later apologized and was forced to attend sensitivity training at LGBT center The Trevor Project, where he vowed to educate himself about the challenges faced by the gay community.

The 49ers star is currently halfway through a four-year contract, but there is now speculation that his contract may not be renewed further due to the negative publicity he generates.
