'The X Factor'--Mario Lopez To Host Third Season Solo After Khloe Kardashian Gets The Boot

It's official: producers stated on Monday, "Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor and Mario Lopez will be returning to the show's third season to host the show solo.

"We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors," said X Factor producers about Khloe Kardashian.

As previously reported, Khloe got the boot for flubbing her lines on the live show and flat out not being a very good television host.

In response to her exit the optimistic reality star tweeted:

"Sometimes stepping outside of your comfort zone helps you grow! So grateful for the opportunity! It is what it is... Either way I had FUN!"

Hunky "Saved by the Bell" alum, Mario Lopez makes an excellent host on every show he's on, including Extra, as well as the MTV reality shows America's Best Dance Crew and MTV's Top Pop Group. Lopez also hosts Sí TV's Dating Factory and was co-host on "The Man Show," the male spinoff talkshow of "The View."

His hosting talents are so good, in fact, that he doesn't need a co-host like Kardashian in the way, which she often was, verbally running over Lopez's words and giggling blankly at the camera. She made his job more stressful than a live show already is.

Even harsh critic Simon Cowell agrees that Mario has what it takes saying "I'm thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of The X Factor. Hosting a live show and keeping the judges, especially Demi, in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he's coming back."

While Demi Lovato is set to return to the judges' table, the singing competition series still needs to replace Britney Spears and L.A. Reid.

The X Factor returns for its third season this fall on Fox.
