Carl's Jr. Pop-Tart Ice-Cream Sandwich Makes Debut: The Best Of Both Worlds Come Together As One [VIDEO]

Carl's Jr. pop-tart ice-cream sandwich debuted Saturday at the Newport Beach, California store. This combination of two worlds features of a scoop of ice cream that is sandwiched between two pop-tarts.

The Carl's Jr. pop-tart was revealed in California, but the restaurant has yet to announce any plans of releasing the product nationwide.

Carl's Jr. CEO Andy Puzder said in a statement last week that Carl's Jr. would not be hopping on the health food bandwagon.

Puzder said: "It's not our personality and it won't become our personality ... All of our products are indulgent, decadent."

Carl's Jr. has over a thousand stores across the Western and southwestern states in the U.S., but the company is planning on expanding worldwide. Some of the countries include the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Malaysia, Denmark, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Russia, Vietnam, Turkey and China.

The chain-restaurant was founded in 1941 by Carl Karcher, and is owned by CKE Restaurants, Inc.

"The brand continues its growth with an emphasis on quality, service and cleanliness, pioneering concepts such as partial table service and self-serve beverage bars. The introduction of the signature Six Dollar BurgerTM in 2001 marks the latest Carl's Jr.® advance in the quick-service industry, confirming the chain's constant emphasis on product innovation and representing a desire to satisfy the tastes of young, hungry consumers," according to the Carl Jr. website.
