Burger King Offers Delivery In Three New Cities; Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco Added To List

Burger King is trying to stand out in the highly competitive fast food market by expanding its delivery services.

The fast-food chain is now offering delivery services at select restaurants in Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco. Burger King already offered the delivery option in four other U.S. cities as of last year, including New York City and Houston.

The franchise says 20 restaurants will offer the delivery option in both L.A. and Chicago, while 15 will offer it in San Francisco. However, this accounts for only a small percentage of the 7,500 Burger King restaurants in North America.

Customers can place orders online or by phone between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. and orders must be a minimum of $10.

A spokeman for Burger King Worldwide Inc. said the fast-food chain is looking to expand its delivery services to additional cities based on demand. However, they could not confirm whether additional employees will need to be hired or whether the current restaurants that offer delivery for its customers have seen an increase in sales.

McDonald's, Taco Bell and Wendy's do not currently offer delivery services, but have attempted to increase their reputation for customer service by offering new menu items and boosting their advertising.
