Madonna's Homeless Brother Anthony Ciccone Hurt And Arrested--- Injured Needing Nine Stitches In His Face After Struggle WIth Police

Madonn's brother, Anthony Ciccone, was arrested early evening on Sunday after a drunken struggle with a police officer who was trying to get him to leave a bathroom at a local civic center.

Madge's bro revealed in October 2011 that he had been homeless for a year and a half after losing his job.

Police were called Sunday night and brought to the scene, when the Material Girl's brother, 56-year-old Anthony Ciccone, refused to leave the bathroom at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center.

Police say an officer tried to arrest Ciccone on a prior outstanding warrant for trespass when the bum refused to leave a local bookstore.

After prying open the bathroom door, Ciccone allegedly approached a female cop in a forceful, aggressive manner. She turned him around and brought him to the ground, which is when he violently struck his face on the bathroom floor, later needing medical attention.  He needed nine stiches for the gash.

Ciccone's blood-alcohol level was 0.40, five times the level that is considered intoxicated in Michigan. The legal limit for driving is 0.08.

He was arraigned Monday on the trespassing charge and is currently being held without bond in Traverse County Jail.

Authorities predict that a felony count of resisting and obstructing a police officer could be added to the trespassing charge.

Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, declined to comment.  Madonna is a Michigan native, where Anthony is currently behind bars.

Anthony is one of Madonna's five siblings. Madonna is the third oldest, behind Anthony and brother Martin.

Ciccone reportedly told the Michigan Messenger in 2011, "You think I haven't answered this kind of question a bazillion times...why my sister is a multibazillionarie, and I'm homeless on the street?"

It's an appropriate question.  Why wouldn't Madonna give a little charity to a family member in need? She's going to other countries and doling out hundreds of thousands...even adopting needy children! What about your blood family?!

Time for Madge to get back to basics and head to Michigan and help her bro.  It's not glamorous and it won't make headlines but c'mon Madonna...help him out!
