Woman Finds $36,000 At Miami Golf Course: 76-Year-Old Man Leaves It Behind And She Decides To Return It Any Way [VIDEO]

Woman finds $36,000 and returned it while working at a golf course in January.

Rachel Castillo found the $36,000 inside a golf bag that was left behind at the Miami Beach Golf Course, where she serves drinks to the golfers.

"Easy money is not good money, you know?" Castillo told WSVN-TV of why she turned the money in. "I was really freaking out a little bit."

The woman finds $36,000 when golfers alerted her that a bag was left on a bench. When Castillo opens the bag, she finds stacks of money, which totaled $36,000. She decides to call the police and let them know about the situation, rather than keeping it for her own.

"I believe in the Bible," she said. "I'm a Christian, and the Bible says, 'Do not steal, do not lie,' you know, all these things, and if you do what's right, if you live the right way, you'll be taken care of. I believe I'll be taken care of ... if you do what's right."

Police praised Castillo for handing over the money. They said they are working on returning the money to the 76-year-old man, whose identification was also in the bag. Police also told the news station that they believe the man is in declining health.

"He is in an assisted living facility right now," Miami Beach Police Sgt. Bobby Hernandez told WSVN-TV. "He might have a medical condition. That's undetermined. We are in touch with the family members getting more information, but we have identified that money as his through different transactions that he made. But it's nice that there's people out there ... $36,000 is what a lot of people make a year."

The woman finds $36,000 and said she is one of those people who make that kind of money in a year as a server at the Miami Beach Golf Course.
