Madonna Remains Silent On Homeless Brother Anthony Ciccone's Drunken Arrest; Ciccone Arrested Last Weekend For Altercation With Police

Madonna has chosen to not publicly comment on her brother Anthony Ciccone or his drunken arrest last weekend. Ciccone, who has been homeless for 18 months after losing his job at the family winery due to his alcoholism, was arrested last Sunday after drunkenly fighting with a police officer in the town of Traverse City, Michigan.

Madonna has opted to not publicly commented on her brother, despite the fact he has routinely slammed her in the press for years. The Material Girl, who has a net worth of $1 billion, has reportedly paid for Ciccone to go to rehab several times. However, she decided to stop bankrolling him after his father Tony Ciccone fired him due to his drinking.

Last month, Ciccone declared an interview with Daily Mail that Madonna "never loved him" and that his father "would be very happy if I died of hypothermia and then he would not have to worry about it anymore."

He denies being an alcoholic, but a current employee at the vineyard said that Ciccone would hole up in the vineyard cellar and drink all day. His father was concerned that continuing to employ him at a winery would ultimately lead to Ciccone's alcoholism killing him.

A local police officer in the town of Traverse City, Michigan, was trying to get Ciccone to leave the bathroom of the local civic center. The police report notes that he reportedly refused and "pulled away, turned around and confronted the female officer in an aggressive manner. She turned him around and brought him to the ground, which is when he struck his face on the bathroom floor."

The bathroom fall led him to be taken to Munson Medical Center for treatment, where he needed nine stitches to close up the wounds in his forehead. Tests performed at the hospital showed that his blood alcohol level was at 0.40, five times the amount considered to be intoxicated in the state of Michigan.

Ciccone already had a warrant out for his arrest after refusing to leave a local bookstore last month. He has since been booked without bond in Traverse County Jail and likely faces felony counts of resisting and obstructing a police officer.
