LB Prostitution Sting: Quentin Groves, Browns Linebacker, Arrested In Prostitution Sting

LB Quentin Groves has been busted in a prostitution sting. LB Quentin Groves, the Cleveland Browns linebacker, was arrested in Ohio in a prostitution sting last week. A police sting in Orange Village, Ohio nabbed Groves while in town for training for the Browns.

"LB" Groves was caught in a sex-for-hire police sting at a hotel on April 17. He was charged with soliciting a prostitute. According to the police report, he arranged for a prostitute and negotiated a price in a phone call prior to the meeting.

The report stated that "[Groves] made arrangements for certain acts ... and requested 'full service' and stated he would bring condoms."  and that Groves "agreed to one hour of time for [$100] and was told that anal would be an additional [$20],"

A female officer posed as an escort in the solicitation sting.  According to the report, Quentin Groves arrived at room 231 of the Homestead Guest Studios in Orange Village at about 10:28 p.m., knocked on the door, and was taken into custody right away without resisting or any other incidents and was charged with solicitation.

Following the LB's arrest in the sting, Browns spokesman Neal Gulkis stated "We are aware of the situation and do not have any further comment."

Police took a box of condoms and $195.70 in cash as evidence. Groves is slated to appear in court on May 10.

Until then, "LB" Quentin Groves was having a good week. The 28-year-old native of Missisippi went to Ohio last week and joined the Browns for their first minicamp of the 2013 season last week. Last month, he signed a two-year $2.8 million contract with the Browns.
