2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stringray Price Set At $ 52,000, $1,400 More From Last Year's Model

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray now officially has a price tag at $51,995, Chevy has stated.

The new price for the Chevrolet Corvette is a $1,400 increase from the current Corvette priced at $50,945.

A $1,400 increase is "not that much of a change when you look at everything that's happened to the car," said John Fitzpatrick, marketing manager for Chevrolet performance cars.

"The Corvette Stingray delivers a combination of performance, design and technology that very few manufacturers can match, and none can even come close for $52,000," Vice President of Chevrolet marketing, Chris Perry said.

He goes on to say, "every day you have someone coming in wanting to know about the new Corvette. You have a lot of enthusiasts out there. You have a lot of people that have purchased Corvettes before. A lot of people come in wanting to know the price, how soon they can get one."

The 2014 Stingray is a power bargain, complete with a brand new a Bose 10-speaker surround sound system; Napa leather seating; navigation; leather-wrapped dash and instrument panel, console and door panels; color heads-up display; plus heated and ventilated seats with bolster adjustment and power lumbar.

Even the base model can go from zero to 60 mph in under four seconds, a few tenths of a second faster than the current model.

The hot new vehicle is up for grabs this summer with 450-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8 engine that can go to four cylinders on the highway to save fuel.
